FANNY SHORTER
Fanny Shorter is an English designer and illustrator based in Wiltshire. Her distinctive, detailed work is largely inspired by her upbringing in a school in the quintessentially English county town of Winchester, surrounded by historic architecture and idyllic countryside.
Having worked as an illustrator in London for a number of years before starting to design fabrics, story-telling still plays an important part in how Fanny designs. Her collection is a range of both soft and strong colours, vivid patterns and dynamic motifs many inspired by the stories of Gerald Durrell and his life in Corfu. She now works from her studio in Wiltshire's picturesque Chalke Valley.
