A History of Excellence
George Spencer Designs was established in the mid-1940s by John Spencer Churchill, nephew of Winston Churchill.
An artist and a sculptor, Spencer had gone against convention, choosing to pursue artistic and creative passions over political and societal ambitions. Under the mentorship of artists such as William Nicholson and Bernard Meninsky, he developed his own artistic style, painting murals, frescoes, portraits and still lives for celebrated figures in British society.
This artistic understanding forms the foundation of George Spencer Designs.
