OTTOLINE DE VRIES
Ottoline’s journey began in Amsterdam, where founder Ottoline de Vries worked as a lawyer while spending her free time restoring and personalising antiques. Inspired by the world around her, from history and art to nature, and unable to find patterns and colours that matched her vision, she began creating her own wallpaper designs.
Early recognition followed, including being shortlisted for the Rijksstudio Award at the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam and featured in Residence magazine. After relocating to London, Ottoline introduced her debut wallpaper collection, which was awarded Best Wallpaper Collection by Homes & Gardens in 2015.
These early milestones led to the launch of her namesake design studio, marking the beginning of a distinctive voice in interiors. Since then, the studio has continued to evolve, first expanding into printed fabrics and, in 2026, launching its first woven collection.
Having lived in London for over a decade, Ottoline feels closely connected to the city and its creative energy. Its layered interiors, design culture, and openness to individuality continue to shape her evolving collections.
