Harmattan

This pattern is inspired by the Harmattan (Harma-TAN) wind which blows south every November to March from the Sahara to our hometown in northern Ghana. It comes laden with dust, and for those months a haze settles over the district of Lawra.

All fabrics are 100% carbon-neutral cotton, grown under the 'Cotton made in Africa' initiative administered by the Aid for Trade Foundation, headquartered in Hamburg. All our fabrics have passed 40,000 rubs on the Martindale test, and have passed the UK flammability ‘cigarette test’ (BS5852:Part 1:1979:Source 0).
