Tara - TARA-013

The design is based on Mt Taranaki, whose near-perfect conical outline and snow-capped peak are captured in rhythmic rows of geometric shapes, subtly softened by their individually hand-drawn outlines as seen by our Head of Studio when hiking in New Zealand on her recent sabbatical. The mountain’s name comes from the Maori word ‘tara’ meaning ‘peak’ or ‘point’: serendipitously, the same word also means ‘hill’ in Irish Gaelic, reflecting and resonating with the strong family connections to Ireland enjoyed by the Fermoie founders.
