Sifnos - Garnet

This simple, sophisitcated design derives from a 19th century French Provencale printed fichu traditionally used as a neckerchief. The original piece was dominated by a larger motif, but when reworked as this distinctive, standalone ladder stripe, it became reminiscent of a simpler Mediterranean pattern, hence its Greek island inspired name.
